What is an MRI?

An MRI is a non-invasive imaging scan that produces detailed images of the inside of your body using a powerful magnetic field and radio waves. It can visualize blood vessels, bones, muscles, nerves, organs,
and soft tissues.

An MRI machine resembles a large tube. During the scan, the relevant body part is positioned in the center of the tube. At MRI NOW Miami, our machines have wider openings to alleviate any claustrophobic feelings, ensuring a more comfortable experience.

What are the risks or side effects of an MRI?

MRIs are generally safe and have been studied extensively. They have not been proven to cause any biological harm. However, some patients may experience minor side effects such as vertigo, nausea, or a metallic taste.

How do I get an MRI?

If your healthcare provider recommends an MRI for your diagnosis, treatment, or monitoring, they will prescribe it. With your prescription, you can call MRI NOW Miami to schedule your appointment at one of our convenient locations. 

How much does an MRI cost?

The cost of an MRI depends on your insurance coverage. Our Pre-registration and Authorization Department will confirm the price with you after your provider refers you for an MRI. If your insurance
does not cover the MRI, you can choose to self-pay. Our Central Pricing Office will work with you to arrange a payment schedule.
